K. b. snow grew up in a musical family and was exposed from a young age to a variety of musical styles including classical, American folk, and sacred choral. He became familiar with a variety of musical instruments including voice, ukulele, and auto harp by the time he began studying piano at the age of eight. By high school, he had added organ, French horn, and baritone sax to the list of instruments he plays. During this time, he also began writing and arranging for solo piano, small instrumental ensembles, and choir. While pursuing his music theory and composition degree at Arizona State University, he continued his keyboard studies, including classical piano and baroque harpsichord. His musical experience was further enriched by his participation in the Marimba Maderas de Comitan (Latin percussion ensemble) and the South Indian Karnatika Music Ensemble, as well as studies in electronic music Currently, he works at improving his musical skills as a piano soloist, church organist, electronic music recording artist, and composer and arranger for choir and various music ensembles. K. b. snow lives in southern Arizona with his wife, Brenda. They are the parents of four children.
