Kept By Christ
Attention! We are proud to announce the: Dynamic Melodic Uplifting Scripture Based And Soulful Sounds Album Of Keisha Curry! Keisha L. Curry was born on December 27, 1977 in Richmond,VA. She is the daughter of two proud parents who raised her to be a blessed woman of God. Keisha has wanted to be a singer since she was three years old, and now as an adult she is accomplishing that goal. At an early age Keisha decided to use her talent for the reason it was given to her, and that reason is to sing praises to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Keisha knows that she is also called to minister to the saved and unsaved. She believes that God has placed her in a ministry where she is able to grow, learn, teach, love, fellowship, and do what God has called her to do. Through the years Keisha has worked hard to make her talent known. She's entered contests, joined groups, and also sang solo. At age thirteen, Keisha entered her first pageant and was crowned 'Ms. Hotchkiss' of Recreation and Parks. She says that she remembers singing the song 'There's So Much Love Here.' Six months later Hotchkiss entered her into the 'Ms.Recreation' Pageant, sponsored by Recreation and Parks, for the city of Richmond. There were six other contestants in the pageant that she had to compete against, and Keisha came out victorious once again. She was crowned 'Ms. Recreation and Parks' for the city of Richmond. Keisha entered four pageants and three out of the four, she won first place. On the fourth one she came in first runner up. When Keisha was fourteen, she joined a group called YAP (Youth Accent Program), where she participated as a soloist and danced with a dance group. YAP is a program for young men and women who want to express themselves with their talents, and make it known to society. She was a member of this organization for a little over a year. Keisha attended John F. Kennedy High School in Richmond, VA. She was the president of her freshmen class, a member of the marching band (Directed by Bill McGee), and a member of the choir (Directed by Haywood McCallum). Keisha felt that Mr. McGee made her talent known to the students, staff, and alumni of JFK by making her sing the National Anthem at a Kennedy football game. In the four years Keisha was at Kennedy, she was know as the girl who sang the National Anthem at sporting events and assembly's held in the auditorium. She thought it was a full time job. Keisha did not get in the school choir until her senior year, and just when she thought she was all sung out, Mr. McCallum put her to work in the choir. During the short time Keisha was in the choir, she felt that she accomplished a lot. One of her toughest challenges was to try out for the district choir, but Keisha worked hard and ended up being the only student from Kennedy to make it. That was a very proud moment for Keisha and a lot of experience. Overall, Keisha enjoyed singing in the choir because it was always a joy for her to sing and especially to sing for the Lord. Keisha is presently singing with AL4Chri!, where she has been singing for five years. This is her first of many projects. Keisha has been with AL4Chri! From the beginning and has been faithful and dedicated to this ministry. Expect more to be added to this Bio in the future and more from Keisha L. Curry! We ask that you please help support our growing ministry, by purchasing a copy for yourself and/or for others. This CD will bless and encourage you to live and/or to keep living for God.
