Dream Out Loud
12 Months in the making and Kelly delivers another great collection of memories and emotions. 'Dream Out Loud' delivers a series pop rock melodies full of hooks and imagery. 'Dream Out Loud' is Kelly's follow up to his 1999 release ' Shots of Sanity' which included 'Friend of Mine' a special song written in the memory of a friend who committed suicide. 'Friend of Mine' was given a rating of excellence by a Independent A&R rep in LA. This got the attention of DSM Producers of NY. DSM Producers is one of the largest publishing and licensing music library in the US. DSM's president, Susan Bader loved the pop rock melodies of ' Shots of Sanity' so much that she was quick to snap up the whole CD for the DSM Library. Kelly Springer moved to the Northwest in the fall of 1983. Quickly realizing how vibrant of a music scene Portland is, Kelly quickly joined as a drummer with a local band,' Miz Understood'. Kelly drummed for the next 3 years as a hired gun. His drumming took him to New York, Los Angeles, Seattle and on 2 regional and national tours. Kelly decided to leave the drums and move to bass and work on his craft as a singer / song writer. Kelly built his craft in the form of two former bands, ' Naked Face' & 'Megaphone Poet '. Finally after experimenting and trying out different hats, Kelly forged out as a solo act and embraced what he does best, write and sing adult contemporary pop rock. Kelly has just completed his follow up to 'Shots of Sanity' with his latest collection of pop rock hooks. 'Dream Out Loud' delivers more of the same great melodies and hooks but with more positive and lighter tones spun to the words. Last year Kelly landed two of his previous recordings on an independent film sound track by V Images. Watch and listen because the next song you hear in the back ground of your favorite television show or latest film release could be Kelly Springer.
