Recording artist, Kimberly Lord, has performed leading roles in major theaters from New York to San Francisco and appeared in concert internationally. In 1997, before moving to the Kansas City area, she performed with the Philadelphia Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and guest conductor, Boguslaw Dawidaw, acclaimed Music Director of the National Russian Philharmonic. Ms. Lord opened the 2000-2001 season for the St. Joseph Symphony, St. Joseph Missouri, and performed a Christmas concert with them in December 2001. Christmas time 2002 found her in England to perform a benefit concert. Most recently she appeared with Kansas City Jazz greats, Joe Cartwright and his trio, in a premier of their 'Silk' concert in St. Joseph, Mo. Arriving in Kansas City from New York, Kimberly opted to record her Christmas CD 'Welcome Child' in the city that is home to some of the greatest musicians in the US. Released in 2002 'Welcome Child' received an overwhelming warm reception and Kimberly and husband, Jack, decided to produce her next CD in Kansas City, as well. 'HAPPY' has just been released May 12 this year to rave reviews. Both CD's are available at all the BORDERS bookstores in the Kansas City area. Kimberly's recording of her original song 'Inch by Inch' with the Joe Cartwright Trio was included in the KSHB NBC 41 EMMY AWARD-winning album, 'Let Freedom Ring.' This CD is a tribute to the victims of 9/11. In addition to performing, Kimberly has produced and directed such shows as 'Quilters' and 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.' She and her husband, J. Craig Lord, founded the Lightworks Combination, Inc. and the Happy PrÕjectÂ®, which produces Kimberly's concerts. Their favorite productions to this day remain their daughter, Samantha and son, Kelly, who both appear professionally with Kimberly.
