Kings Highway began with lead guitarist Andrew and rhythm guitarist Jon as a side project during their first two years attending New Paltz University. The music quickly demonstrated potential and two more members joined in the third year, bassist Derio Rivera and drummer Roger LaRochelle. Following a semester of preparation the band took hold in the small town of New Paltz, New York, forming a close following and playing at popular locations. In the spring of 2006 they entered Leopard Studios and created an un-mastered four track demo. The demo turned out to be a great success attracting new fans and positive feedback. In the fall semester of 2006 the band extended it's performances to Ithaca and New York City. It also developed a larger following and increased it's musical output, playing shows every weekend. As the close of 2006 approached, acoustic guitarist Jon Hubert graduated and retired his time and creativity to his career as a financial advisor. In addition however, saxophonist Eben Hurley, who originally played as a guest, joined the group in the later part of the semester. Blind Ambition was recorded in the spring of 2007 at Starr Ridge Studios located in Brewster New York. The band continues to play and plans on releasing an album in the spring of 2008.
