The Making of Kinlin's Debut The madness all started back in June of 2005 when Dewayne, Tom, and Dave's band 5skin broke up. Dave recommended Patrick come up and jam with us while we were writing new material, since he was on a break from Yngwie Malmsteen. Two in the morning later, we asked Patrick if he would be interested in writing some material. That was the beginning of Kinlin. All the writing, recording, and mixing for the album took place at the Barn in Davie, Florida. A little note: the barn is severely haunted. From seeing shadows, doors opening by themselves, hearing stuff that is not normal, to taking digital pictures with numerous amount of orbs. This by any means is not your normal studio but it has such a great vibe. The music poured out of us like water and the musicianship was intense. By October, the drum tracks were laid down; bass, guitar, and vocals were next...so we thought. That bitch Wilma blew into South Florida and took 4 weeks off our plans. From moving all the equipment down out of the barn and back up again, we were back in business. Dewayne came through and kicked some major ass by tracking and mixing this album that we are so proud of. So enjoy listening and partying to it as much as we did making it.
