If You Only Knew
Kithy's music career started at the age of 13 playing drums nearly every weekend in her father's country/rock band. Five years later, she joined an all-female band called "Lipstick," who was looking for a drummer. Kithy filled the position and they started playing in the music scene, under the management of the late Mitch Karczewski, owner of 'Spotlight Talent' in Cleveland. In 1986, Lipstick debuted their first single, 'I Want to Be With You Tonight.' The single went all the way to #14 on Cleveland's National Radio Station WMMS. That single later went on to hit #86 on the WMMS Hot List for the year. Lipstick became Cleveland's number one all-girl band. 'Mitch had us playing almost every night! Seriously! One year we played 333 dates." During Kithy's time with Lipstick, they were special guests for many artist including 'Wild Horses, The Box Tops, The Godz, Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, and Black Oak Arkansas. After Lipstick, Kithy went on to play with other Cleveland-based bands, and spent time in the studio recording her own material with various producers in Cleveland. After giving up her music for a time, she married and began playing drums and singing in the worship team at her local church. She played under the leadership of Pastor Cole Brown/Pastor John Mosher, Evangelist Dr. Rudi and Sharon Swanepoel of God's Glory Ministries (GGMI), and currently under Pastor Roger and Lori Loomis. It was during this time that Kithy said, 'I learned the difference between playing/performing for a public audience, and playing/performing for an audience of One." After 10 years battling many extreme health issues, Kithy had no other choice except to sit and listen to God. "As God brought me through my many struggles, it was finally time for this CD to take place." The collection of songs on this CD were born out of her many trials in life and give hope and inspiration to those in need, helping them find their way back home, and discovering the true meaning of life. "Don't let anyone stop you from being who you really are! There's a destiny for every individual out there. Grab hold of it!" From worship to blues to country and rock, Kithy was able to get the songs to Producer, Mark Carman. Together, they went down to the Trinity Music Studio's in Nashville, Tennessee to work with Session Leader Bruce Watkins and Engineer Jimmy Tarbutton, and later to Virginia Beach to work with Rob Ulsh at Master Sound Studios. 'I'm proud to say I got to work with some of the best, I couldn't have done this project without them."
