Product Notes

Labrador Dali began recently as band by staking out a small little claim of land on the Chicago music landscape, just where Classic Rock borders with Indie/ Alternative. Quickly generating a buzz around it's live shows, the growing band continues to claim ever more territory musically, with little patches of jazz, blues, and country coming into the mix. The band is comprised of Robert Emmett as singer and rhythm guitarist, Marke Lester on bass guitar and harmonies along with drums on their first studio effort, Lem Roby provides lead guitars and harmonies, and Chuck Pinney on drums and percussion. More often than night, you can find them being joined onstage by Ruby Harris playing electric violin and mandolin. The bands first studio effort 'Exile on Myspace' was released March 2008, a six song CD, entirely self-recorded, produced and distributed. Five of the songs are penned by Robert Emmett, the sixth being a song written by a friend, Kevin Day of Connecticuts 'DayDrug'. 'Exile on Myspace' is primarily rock and roll, and most of it is upbeat. Despite this there is an ominous feel over most of the disc, and strong doses of strange, dark humor.
