MORE ABOUT 'THE BISHOP'S DAUGHTER' Grammy-nominated, Gospel singer-songwriter, Lady Peachena, released her new CD, 'The Bishop's Daughter,' on her own label, Platinum Peachtree Records, four years ago. She recorded this uplifting CD as a special tribute to her father, Bishop James L. Eure, Sr., who made his transition seven years ago at the age of 96 in October of 2001. Bishop Eure was the founder and pastor of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Salisbury, MD, for more than 50 years, and Lady Peachena felt that recording this album would be the best gift that she could give in his memory since it was he who started her singing in church when she was 5 just years young. Without a doubt, this CD is her best work yet! She either wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on this fantastic album. Lady Peachena re-recorded 3 songs from her first LP, 'Sincerely Yours,' that she made nearly 20 years ago, which are 'Try Jesus,' 'Jump For Joy,' and 'I'll Never Let Go Of My Faith.' Wanting to keep it real, this Gospel diva composed a couple of prayer ballads that people everywhere can relate to. Mournful ballad, 'Lord, Give Me Strength,' was written in the midst of a health struggle, and 'Lord, Save Our Young Men,' is a Gospel-Blues tune that's a rallying cry for help for today's youth. To show off her versatility, Lady Peachena co-wrote 2 Urban Gospel number with Curtis 'Big House' Young that are smoking! 'You've Got The Power' and 'How Could You Lie?' both have commercial potential. Her last 2 songs, 'Stay in The Will of The Lord,' and ' Lord, Stop by My House,' were recorded with her church choir, Love Fellowship Tabernacle's Rhema Choir. There's no way you can listen to these foot-stomping songs without moving to the sanctified beat. For more info call - 718-235-0350.
