Aliens & Strangers
Take the electronica/trip-hop styles of Frou Frou, The Postal Service, and Moby, mix it with soft piano and guitar, add in complex, layered vocal sections with lyrics which have a message of hope and you have Lancaster Transit, a duo born out of the frustration of the static, non-evolving state of the Christian music industry. Melissa Lancaster, the producer and vocalist, creates vocals reminiscent of Imogen Heap with words of hope in a dismal world. Zach Gannon, the instrumentalist half of LT, creates fusions of jazz, trip-hop, orchestra, pop, and electronica which mesh to form truly unique songs. Both write the lyrics and melodies together, forging a sound comprised of both members, not led by a frontman (or woman in this case). Their debut full-length album, 'Aliens and Strangers', is out now! Pick one up today!
