Quiet of Your Heart
'The Quiet Of Your Heart' was the first CD release from Leper's Pen. It contains 11 powerful tunes that will stay in your head for days. Often compared to Dave Matthews Band or Counting Crows, this band puts out catchy songs that everyone can relate to. Singer/songwriter Bill 'The Thrill' Galetka delivers again with great power pop hooks combined with dreamy melodies. This CD has it all. A very interesting mix of acoustic guitars, moody keyboards, and rocking rhythm guitars provide the right backdrop for thought provocative lyrics. Be sure to check out the CD's two hit singles from 1999-- 'Falling From Grace' and 'Changes'. Notes from Bill The Thrill: These songs came to me in the summer of 1998, a time when so many aspects of life seemed up in the air. I had just gone through the loss of my father, a short break-up with my girlfriend, and I needed time to step back and figure out where my life was heading. Changes: This song is about going through some of life's most challenging moments and wanting someone to be there by your side. Come Down To Earth: Have you ever known someone who seems to be so preoccupied with material things that you wish you could just get them to open their eyes and put their feet on solid ground? Adam and Eve: A love song that reaches way back to another time and place. Man has been trying to answer the same questions about women since the beginning of time. One Little Step: Some times you just need to take things slowly in a relationship and let the pieces fall into place. Tongue Twister: This song is a short, up-tempo rocker. Sometimes love leaves you speechless, while other times it makes you trip over words trying to find the right ones to say. Falling From Grace: There are moments in life when you are friends with someone and things come dangerously close to crossing the line. And then there are moments when you cross that line of friendship when you wonder if it was a mistake or if something even better will become of it. Kiwi: This song is a play on words that has everything to do with having a huge crush on someone. It is about that moment of having hope that someone feels the same for you as you do for them. Funny: This song was perhaps the one I had the easiest time writing. It is a neat little tune that has a nice feel, a good rhyme to it, a nice little wordplay. The song should remind you to not take life too seriously. My Girlfriend's Pillow: Be apart from the one you love can bring in a whole new world of loneliness. I would stare at the pillow where she used to lay her head and long for her to be there. Parachute: This song blends into the song before it and is somewhat Pink Floyd influenced. The song is about finding a distraction in order to free your mind of the pain that accompanies a break-up, if only for a little while. The Tree Of Life: I wrote this song for my father. Our parents do their best to prepare us for the world. Nothing can prepare you for the loss of a parent; it is truly a life-changing event. After feeling down and maybe even sorry for myself for quite a few months, one day I had the realization that I already had been given everything I need to move forward. Our lives are shaped by the relationships we have, move into, and move through. We all go through similar experiences. We all feel with the same human heart. The answers to life are found somewhere in The Quiet Of Your Heart.
