Nashville's loudest pop act, Leslie Road was formed by singer/songwriter Jason Minton in 1995. Joined a year later by Rush enthusiast and drummer Matt Mendians, the line-up was completed a year later with the addition of guitarist J.T. 'Teebes' Kelso. Combining Jason's Bad Company-meets-Sir Paul songwriting with Teebes' and Matts more progressive playing styles has yielded a sound that has been compared to such diverse bands as Signals-era Rush, Cheap Trick, U2 and Pink Floyd, but with a thoroughly modern edge. Describing this band is almost impossible- progressive alterna pop? Modern classic rock? Hard folk rock? It's great songs played well with meaning and feeling, with guitar solos. Short ones. It's ok. Listen to the clips and you'll get it.
