"Dynamic", "Encouraging", "Uplifting", "A Breath of Fresh Air", are all words used to describe Christian Recording Artist Linda Martin. Being a gifted artist and having a genuine passion for those who are struggling emotionally, Linda Martin is able to capture a range of emotions with her speaking/performance skills. She has proven to be very versatile in several arenas. She is an Ordained Minister, Author, Television Host, Certified Fitness Instructor, Award Winning Gospel Music Vocalist who sings in English, Spanish and Hebrew. She was crowned 2005 Mrs. Plus America and 2006/2007 Mrs. Plus America Ambassador. Linda is also the "Artist in Resident" at Harvest Fellowship Community Church in San Antonio, Texas. She is a member of A Sinner's Hope Baptist Church in Payne Springs, Texas where she serves as the Women's Ministry Director and Music Coordinator. Linda was a host of a public affairs television show, "Joy In Our Town', and has appeared several times as a guest on Trinity Broadcast Network's "Praise The Lord" show, Dallas' "Good Morning Texas" as well as other television and radio programs across the nation. She also appeared as Mary Magdalene in the feature film, "I've Got A Reason". For the past several years Linda has been a special music guest in San Antonio, Texas at the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's Annual "Race For The Cure", reaching over 100,000 people. In 2006 she was given the honor of being the officiating minister at the Race For The Cure's Sunrise Memorial Service. She sat on the Komen Board where she aided in the organization of various citywide fund-raising events. In addition to helping with the Komen Foundation and inspired by the struggles a dear friend encountered with Breast Cancer, Linda has designed a line of stuffed animals affectionately named, 'Comfort Care Critters'. Each animal was designed to bring comfort to cancer patients as they undergo the myriad of treatments and hospital stays. The 'Blessing Bunny' was the first of 26 stuffed animals in the 'Comfort Care Critters' line released in November 2002. Awards and accolades include placing 3rd in the Gospel Music Association Annual Seminar in the Rockies National Competition, Most Talented in the National Plus America Competition and a finalist in the Babbie Mason National Music Conference and Seminar and was nominated for Woman of the Year in Seagoville, Texas.Linda and her husband, U.S. Army Sergeant First Class, Personal Chef and Professional Illusionist Craig Martin, call beautiful Dallas, Texas home. They focus their off road time parenting their sons Raymond, Robert, and Ruston.
