Union Baptist Church Mass Choir is an army of 80 anointed singers established in 1996 by Minister of Music, Lisa D. Nelson, an established gospel musician, writer and producer, to present a versatile music program in worship. Since that time, they have grown into a powerful outreach ministry that has reached far beyond the walls of Union Baptist Church in White Plains, N.Y., where Rev. Dr. Verlin D. Williams is Pastor. They have had the opportunity to present concerts to several beyond capacity crowds including their first sellout at SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center. They have performed with Dan Ackroyd at Radio City Music Hall for ABC television; Marc Anthony at Madison Square Garden for the "Miracle on 34th Street" Christmas special; opened for Donnie McClurkin for "A Time for Healing" concert at the Westchester County Center; Smokie Norful at a Praise and Worship Conference in New Jersey; Vickie Winans for the White Plains Juneteeth Parade fundraiser as well as the Bobby Jones TV Show for the Urban Summit several concerts and special events all over New York and the surrounding area. God has also opened doors for their outreach ministry to travel across the country on tour spreading the gospel throughout the United States. Union has recorded two CD's, "Glory to God in the Highest" Christmas CD released in 2001, and "Testimony" a fiery "straight church" CD released in 2003. Fast becoming known for their "no holds" style of worship when singing, they have reached souls with God's message of hope, healing and salvation through scripture, testimony and a versatile inspiring repertoire of traditional and contemporary gospels, spirituals, anthems and praise songs all intended to reach the lost and bring them to Christ, as well as inspire and encourage every believer to stay on the battlefield for the Lord.
