To have something to say, but above all to know how to say it. To create the best means through which a story, or multiple stories can be recounted. A concert piano, candlelight, the strains of a distant saxophone, unexpected sounds, a distorted guitar. Songs that, like an ancient rite, accompany the spectator from the light to darkness. Hypnotic and visionary pieces that borrow from postrock, dub, trip-hop, funk and jazz; pieces that cannot be easily labeled. In the midst of all this, voice, stories, characters, words that one can almost touch. Texts that do not comment upon the music, they are not subject to the music, they participate with it. And if, at times, the music precedes the texts, then the words that complete it provide the images that correspond to that sonic world. Liù plays with the spectator's perception and in every way transforms the relationship between music and public through innovative lightening, set design and seating. Liù is a rite of passage, from the light to the dark. Liù is a voyage, a vision.
