Raised in Suburbia
Los Chicharrones Guapos (LCG) is a band that likes to have a good time. Their sound doesn\'t really fit into one category-- they do some funk, pop rock stuff. Imagine James Brown swirled together with the B-52's. Funny, silly stage antics backed by solid grooving rhythm is a good description of the LCG experience. The band plays originals and some covers and the reason it works is the band has a good time playing!!!! They want to have fun and they get their audience to come along for the ride. The band members of Los Chicharrones Guapos have a long history of making music together. Bob Teisher (vocals) and Jeff Berend (guitar) began playing music together in high school during the '80's. In 1999 Janet Berend signed on as drummer and the first incarnation of LCG was born. Tracy Yates (lead & back up vocals) joined the band to help them record their first CD "Aloha Hot Disco" in 2001. She's been with LCG ever since. Bass player and vocalists, Russ Shutz recently joined in 2007. LCG began recording their second CD "Raised in Suburbia" in the spring of 2007. Their latest CD includes 13 original songs and will be released in June 2008. The founding members of LCG started playing music together because it was fun. Throughout the years they have built a solid set of music and when audiences see and hear them play together it's clear the fun continues.
