Things Are Different Now
The Lovemonkeys have announced the release of "Things are Different Now," the local band's first CD of original music in 10 years, a 10-song CD which documents both the band's current lineup, state of mind and excite-ability. "There was no conscious decision to stop recording during that 10-year span," stated The Lovemonkeys lead singer and founder, John Hauser. "It all comes down to the songs. We made this CD because we feel the songs are that good. They have charisma and fit into the vein of what this band is all about. The result is a great rock and roll record." "'Things Are Different Now' documents who we are in 2008," added Hauser. "We didn\'t have to make new recordings. We wanted to make new recordings. It's evident when you hear the tracks." With influences ranging from The Beatles to Counting Crows to Cheap Trick to The English Beat to Green Day to Jimmy Cliff and beyond, The LoveMonkeys remain one of Wisconsin's most popular acts. Their positive energy is infectious, as witnessed on these tracks.
