From the outskirts of New York City in Suburban New Jersey, Lucid is real, emotional rock 'n' roll music that's melodic, with a sense of darkness, and a light at the end-of-the-tunnel vibe. The music comes straight from the spirit of it's components. Lead Singer, Damian Daniello, bleeds emotion through his vocals with his deep, heart-felt lyrics Founding members Rich Norton (guitar) and Jason Correia (bass), provide the catchy riffs and booming bass that lay the intricate rhythms of the songs. Danny Plante, rounds out the group with his unparalleled drumming. There is a certain magic to them as you watch them play for fans and light up the crowd with feeling and excitement during their passionate live performances. Six years into their craft, this foursome has geared up for the stardom they've worked so hard to achieve. The band has achieved notoriety playing various venues across the East Coast. They have also opened up for bands including, but not limited to Live, Sevendust, and The Jason Bonham Band. They have been frequently played and requested on an assortment of radio stations in New Jersey (WDHA 105.5, WSOU 89.5, WKOE106.3, and WRAT 95.9), New York (WRRV 96.9), Maryland (WNRV 89.7), and North Carolina (WKRR 92.3). Lucid's debut CD 'October Sun' possesses the power that proves to represent what this band is about. The songs range from the hard rock anthem 'Bring it back' to the endearing ballad 'Close to Me'. Some of the songs give a portrayal of the band's life situations. 'Numb' is a touching description of one of the band's friends who was paralyzed in a car accident. The dark ballad, 'Forgotten', is an edgy piece about emotional pain, self-doubt and loneliness. The powerful track, '14', is an influential look into racism and war. Lucid is currently in the studio recording their follow-up CD entitled 'Consequence'. The early production CD is proving that this will be the band's best work yet. If you want a band that is destined for success, then Lucid is the band you are looking for. Rich summed it up best when he said, ' I had a dream a long time ago about being able to make music that people as well as myself loved and it has finally come true with this band.'
