A sense of place, somewhere between darkness and light, the place seen just out of the corner of the eye and felt behind the heart. Ethereal vocals, a dark harmonic undercurrent, the play of textures between acoustic and electric guitars, hard-hitting drums, subtle tempo changes, harmonic color and texture, and of course the piano. A product of a singer/radio show host father and artist mother, I began playing piano and wrote my first song at age 8. I wanted nothing more than to be Keith Richards at age 14 and still do. Classical, jazz, pop training on the piano in my early teens. The usual rock/pop cover bands throughout high school. Moved to Los Angeles at age 21, working for Capitol Records. Ron Miller ('Touch Me In The Morning') inviting me to become a member of his songwriting group, Butch Vig's endorsement of 'Front Lines' to Atlantic Records and a scheduled tour with Chris Izaak in Europe but the tour was eventually canceled.
