For the last 15 years, Lyle Michaud has been privileged to spend countless hours at the piano. At age five, his parents got an old piano for free, hoping to see if any of the kids would take to it. Surprisingly, Lyle started picking out tunes by ear, and his passion for music took off from there. After having lessons on and off for a number of years, Lyle received his most valuable musical education from Daniel Weiser, a Dartmouth College music instructor. Under Mr. Weiser, he was trained as a classical concert pianist, until he shifted his focus to composition. Lyle has written dozens of songs and segments, ranging from classical to country, spiritual to pop. This CD contains a selection of these originals, along with several recognizable classics, all his own arrangements. He currently resides in the quaint town of Charlestown, NH, and teaches private piano lessons at a local elementary school, where he also is the piano accompanist for their choruses. Over the years he has had church, wedding, studio, and theatre experience.
