I don't know how I got here. It's as if the three Fates wove my existence that I should be here. Half my life I spent looking for acceptance in Oakland, the other half finding myself in Los Angeles. I ingested in my youth the ideas of rebellion and freedom. For a time I was not allowed to taste either. Now as I dive into the true nature of Aquarius, I give replenishing water as I have been given. Spread love. I seek a passionate world with passionate words. Blue water. Blue sky. We search for answers. They cannot be found without risk of experience. We journey around the sun. The same of the path in life. Concentric circles. Same point, different attitude. A step closer to dismantling our fear. We live through what we hate, our own ignorance. Travel in mind and the journey ends. In the end lies the truth. The connection. ---Mäni ----------- Mäni's sexy eclectic alternative style is much inspired by the Bay Area, where she grew up. Even at a young age, Mäni (born Elaine Lee in Oakland) found herself drawn to the stage by way of writing and directing, singing, and playing the violin. It's no wonder she studied psychology at UCLA and music, blending what one can poetically decipher from the human experience with song in creating her odes to love. Gigging at LA venues with her lyric honesty and gypsy girl-next-door charm, Mäni continues to capture the minds and hearts of her audience. Mäni is a member of BMI and of the Screen Actors Guild. She is also a classically trained actor. If not writing at the neighborhood coffee shop, you might find Mäni at a local show, polishing her understanding of the human condition.
