Marc Twang has been performing and recording music for over 30 years. Through introspective commentary and fanciful satire, his repertoire of original songs spans the spectrum of our contemporary experience. Using the traditions of folk, country, and blues, Marc meets the reality of the human condition head-on. His credits include several albums, CD singles and Original Folk, a survey of American singer-songwriters recorded on Folkways Records. Following his kidney transplant in 2000, Marc released Just Another Day...12 new tunes accompanied by the versatile "Lifeliners Folk Ensemble." He has also completed a full-length musical-comedy, and: THE CAR SONG, winner of The 2004 Berkeley Film Festival's Music Video "Grand Prix Award." Twang's' latest CD's, include Just a Kid...twelve kid songs with an adult satiric twist, six of which are performed by 9-18 year old local talent. The Orkney Serenade is Marc's first all-solo-instrumental album featuring a rare tuning underpinning a pot-pourri of variations on a theme.
