Jackson, a Detroit native was raised around gospel music. He is the son of Pastors; he has been playing the piano in churches and on stages across the United States since he was 8 years old. As a group, his family opened up for gospel legends like Shirley Caesar and The Mighty Clouds of Joy. As a child his father taught him to play piano by teaching him one song- 'Oh Happy Day.' Jackson also plays drums, bass guitar and the organ. Jackson's style is diverse, ranging from hip-hop to jazz influences with thoughtful, and catchy, lyrical content. From the high energy hip-hop track 'Most High', the intimate love song to God 'It's Only You,' to the R&B beats of 'Who Can Compare' Jackson scores big with both young and old. Jackson has a heart for worship, which keeps him committed to doing music that pleases God. Jackson has completed four other CDs besides his 'Effortless' CD which are as follows; Let's Come Together, Together We Worship, Living Faith Christian Center Live - He Reigns and Mark Jackson Instrumental. Jackson's achievements include ministering with and for six-time Grammy Award winner Ben Tankard, Carlton Pearson, Fred Hammond, God's Property, Trinity 5-7, Yolanda Adams and many more.
