His first solo album released in 1993 on ICR Records 'Seasons of Ice' sold moderately well and spawned favorites that were requested at AG shows and Mark's solo gigs. Mark's solo acoustic renditions covered the standard Eagles, Dan Fogelberg and Zeppelin fare but often strayed off the beaten path and turned heads when taking on songs by Todd Rundgren, Yes, Genesis, Steve Hackett, David Gilmour, Dream Theater, Rush, Kansas, Steve Hillage, Sting, Splender and many of the designated prog rock groups of the day. This album is a convergence of all the above influences and styles as well as Mark's original spin on things. The album is mostly Mark with some help here and there from some great musicians including Avant Garde drummer/vocalist Chris Davis (currently of Pseudo Solomon) and ICR Records recording artist Danny McMahon.
