Mary Ann [Renné] Clark has sung folk songs in coffee houses in Indiana, cabarét in supper clubs in the Los Angeles area, Broadway in summer stock in the Midwest and a little bit of everything in community theaters in California, Arizona, Utah, Illinois and Indiana-all as a soprano! During the last 15 years she has sung in piano rooms in the Northern Virginia area as a 'smoky baritone' meeting Peter Robinson very shortly after she moved to the Washington, D. C. metro area. Peter Robinson [pianist/arranger] lives in Bethesda, Maryland, with his wife and two children and two dogs. He's played piano in the Washington, D.C. area since 1980, and his dream is that the songs he writes will someday find their way into the world. Mary Ann and Peter collaborate on an album for the first time entitled Love-prints, a group of twelve songs about almost as many kinds of love. Their fresh interpretations and instrumental choices-a la cabarét-will charm you as you listen, eager to hear the next song... MUSICIANS INCLUDE: Peter Robinson, pianist, arranger, composer Scott Giambusso, bass and solo guitar Carmelo Pino, accordion David Lopez, percussion Gantt Kushner, 2nd guitar Gail Shanta, harp Chris Ullman, whistler Doug Adair, back-up vocal Michael Auldridge, dobro Two of the three original songs included in this album, The Summer Whispers Low and Here I am--Lovin' You, have music written by 2-time regional Emmy winner in the St. Louis area, Leanie Mendelsohn (BMI), and lyrics written by Mary Ann Renné Clark. These are recorded here for the first time. The third original song, You Are My Roses (ASCAP), music and lyrics by Peter Robinson, is also recorded here for the first time.
