Quite simply, Mary Jaeb is an exciting and dynamic performer who has graced many a stage both here at home and abroad. Whether she is singing classical, musical theatre, gospel/spirituals or pop, audiences have been captivated by the power and heart-throbbing emotion of her distinctive voice as well as her natural beauty. As a youngster, Ms. Jaeb sang gospel and sacred music to scores of audiences throughout the United States and Canada. As she developed her musical talent, she ventured to Japan and Korea as an ambassador of American song. She charmed Asian listeners to such great composers as Gershwin and Cole Porter. Expanding her repertoire, Ms. Jaeb has become an accomplished classical singer as well. She has performed with the Central City Opera in Colorado, the Natchez Opera Festival in Mississippi, the San Diego Young Artists Symphony Orchestra and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Performances include; The Christmas Oratorio (Saint-Saens), Mass in D Minor (Haydn), Gloria (Poulenc), The Creation (Haydn), Symphony No. 3 (Gorecki), and The Coronation Mass (Mozart). Mary has been a featured soloist with The La Jolla Symphony Orchestra, La Jolla Chamber Orchestra and Cabrillo Chamber Orchestra. She has portrayed the operatic roles of Abigail in The Crucible, Hanna in The Merry Widow, and Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte. Many fortunate audiences have been treated to Ms. Jaeb's acting talents in musical theater productions as well. Her credits include Maggie Cutler in The Man Who Came to Dinner, Anna in The King and I, Nancy in Oliver!, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, and Anita in West Side Story. Ms. Jaeb's interest in America's Songbook music continues unabated over the years as she has sung with big band orchestras under the direction of Frank Glasson and the late Dick Harvey. Recently Mary has opened for virtuoso pianist Richard Glazier for an exciting evening of all-Gershwin favorites and performed with the well known, Bruno Leone, singing Cole Porter favorites.
