'Songs for All Seasons: A New Day' includes original improvisations on piano, cello, flute and voices as well as natural sounds. The music invites the listener on a journey through these stages of transformation: Surrender, Mystery, Abyss, Hope, Discovery and Renewal. The piano, a representation of the soul is the focal point of the work and experience. The 'cello is an expression of earth, or the physical world, and the flute, spirit. The journey closes with the folk song 'How Can I Keep from Singing'. The music is then repeated on the CD with a guided meditation before each stage, to help focus the listener on his or her own process of transformation and renewal.
