Matter of Time
"What is the one thing you know you will do tomorrow, the next day, and so on, just because you love it that much?" That is what I asked myself as my final years at The University of Illinois came to an end. I quickly answered, "Writing and playing music!" I knew that no matter what I decided to do in life, in order to succeed, it would take some hard workl; so why not work hard at something I love? A little hard work never hurt anyone, and with that in mind I got a 9-5 job and began saving up to fund my debut CD. I picked 8 songs that meant the most to me and that I believed to be my best songwriting up to that point. After months of diligently saving up money in my music fund, I finally had enough to lay down the tracks! I took a weeks worth of vacation from work and went to record at renowned Gallery of Carpet Studios. My goal while writing and recording this album was to keep it real and relatable. Every song was written during my last few years of college, which shines through in the lyrics. Song themes range from overcoming obstacles, going through change, finding purpose, as well as love. Fan-favorite "Slow it Down" brings a fun, up-beat, sing-along to the hook filled album. "Everyone knows how it feels to go through life's constant changes. I believe everyone is searching for purpose, and come on, I know that everyone loves to dance! I hope to bring hope to those listening and look forward to people drawing from the lyrics to use in their own lives. An overall uplifting vibe is what you can expect from the forth-coming debut CD.
