Hi! I'm Maya Traisman, I'm seventeen years old and have been singing ever since I can remember. I wrote my first song when I was eight years old, in 1998, and soon after picked up guitar. From 1997 to 1999 I took voice lessons to fix a speech impediment I developed as a child, and my musical capabilities have been growing ever since. I continued to sing for several different choirs well into my early teenage years, as well as attended the Rock 'n Roll Camp for Girls where I became the lead singer for the band Mother May I. We opened for bands like Sleater Kinney and helped raise money and publicity for the camp. Now, after recently finishing recording my second set of songs onto a demo CD, the first one to be sent out into the industry, I´m ready to go solo. My hope is to be signed by a record label as soon as possible.
