Windmills Lead Me Home
Merrily Wright is a Wife, Mother, Poet, Singer, Songwriter and Pianist, living on the isolated banks of the Marys River in Northeast Nevada. There she home schools her 5 children, works alongside husband John and writes songs and poetry inspired by her unique ranch life and relationship with the Lord. She has been featured at the Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering and other events around the West. Other publications include: The Lowly Cowchip and other Pungent Poetry 1995, Sage of the Sage 1997, and Dandelion Bouquet 2001. This CD was begun in 1997 when friend Ted Macklin setup a studio in the ranch guest house. Over the next 10 years, like a windmill continuously drawing up water, more songs were drawn from the well to become the one-hour collection in Windmills Lead Me Home. May it irrigate and refresh your soul.
