Michael Wain was born on September 7th, 1979 in East Liverpool, OH, Michael spent six years as a military kid. Four of those years, from age 6-9, were spent living in West Berlin, Germany during the culminating years of the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States. Along with his parents and younger brother, Garrett, he was witness to the power of God to completely transform lives long held captive by years of a decadent lifestyle and living on the doorstep of the oppressive Iron Curtain. Michael and his family were deeply involved in a Christian Serviceman's Center, an outreach ministry of a mainline American denominational church, whose mission was to reach U.S. military personnel as well as the lost of all nationalities in this international city of refuge. Upon returning to the U.S., and leaving the military, the family moved to Tulsa, OK, where his father became associate pastor of a full-gospel church on the East side of town. The Wain's settled in the bedroom community of Owasso, OK, where Michael attended the Middle School and played on the football team. Later, during Michael's freshman year of high school, the family relocated back to the Ohio Valley, where he completed his education and graduated in 1997. During his high school years he began playing the guitar and devoting more of his personal time to singing and cultivating his musical talent. Michael has been both a musician and worship leader at Hope Christian Fellowship, in Lisbon, OH for three years. His style of music ministry has developed out of a deep love for the Lord and a relentless pursuit of a Christlike character. Michael's passion is to lead people into a vibrant, yet deep, worship experience. In his newly-released debut album, Michael introduces himself to the Christian music community by offering a collection of contemporary (and one traditional favorite) worship songs written by such powerhouse Christian Music artists as Bart Millard (Mercy Me), Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman and Darrell Evans. While remaining true to the integrity of the original composition, each cut has been arranged in Michael's acoustically-driven style.
