Originally from Utah, D Michael and Vanessa Hansen met for the first time in St. Petersburg, Russia. Michael studied piano for fifteen years, composed music as a young kid, and later picked up the viola. D Michael dove into the world of synthesizers in high school and produced his first CD of original compositions, 'Total Stranger,' in 1997. Two tracks from the album, Rhyolite and Crossing Rivers, quickly became the most requested pieces. Following the success of Total Stranger, D Michael produced an independent CD entitled 'Waterfall,' with the title track featuring fast, high-energy piano, unique percussion and booming drums. The best hits of both albums were refined, remastered, and re-released with four new original compositions as 'Color Coded', featuring live violin accompaniment and a violin-viola duet. Don't miss Shaded Blue, Brown Town, Silver Storm, Jasmine, Waterfall, and an exhilarating tribute to the Winter Olympic Games, Fanfare for the Colors. Vanessa won her first piano competition at age four and began violin two years later. Playing in Southern Utah fiddle-fests and concerts with the local orchestra, she also studied with violin masters from around the world at Tuacahn School for Performing Arts. Her unique violin, combined with carefully synthesized tracks, create a truly exclusive listening experience.
