I selected the renditions for this album along with excellent input-some of the best producers in the music industry. This new product, created by a company related to Provident Music Group, was carefully crafted by artists who had sung with The Imperials, and other major gospel groups, and are responsible for completing work with the top vocalists on the gospel music charts for today. I'm sure you'll be satisfied with what you hear. Born and raised in Portland, OR, I grew up, providing music in various Portland area churches. At 12 and 13, in the early 1970's, I sang with the Portland Boys' Choir, under Jose Correa's direction and played trumpet with Bud Rice and the Trumpeteers, which, on reflection, was a powerful influence, reverberating even now in my life. I took voice lessons from Jon Gilbertson while attending Portland Adventist Academy (PAA). Simultaneously, I continued to do choral and solo singing at numerous Portland-area churches. After graduating from PAA, I attended and graduated with a BA in English from Walla Walla College (WWC). During my four-year tenure there, I took voice and trumpet lessons under the direction of Dr. Harold Lickey (now retired in Portland) and Dr. Lloyd Leno, respectively. I also sang with the groups, Schola Cantorum, and The Concert Choir, both under the direction of Dr. Harold Lickey. I hold an MA in English from Loma Linda University, and a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Northwestern School of Law, Lewis and Clark College, in Portland, Oregon. I come from a musical family.
