By the age of 21, Mike Comfort had spent most of his career as a session player and songwriter for other bands. In January of 2003, Mike formed his own band out of Northern California. Over the next two years they would become one of the region's most popular bands enjoying regular airplay on several radio stations and many sold out performances. In January of 2005, Mike took his music beyond a regional level with the independent national release of 'free'. His first single 'never' landed on the CHR Top 40 Charts as reported by New Music Weekly. His second single 'pledge' not only hit the same charts, but also landed at #3 on the national indie charts. Since then Mike has gone on to have several underground radio hits, some landing at the top of playlists on radio stations usually reserved for those acts on major record labels. New Music Weekly Magazine out of Los Angeles has nominated Mike Comfort for New AC/Hot AC Artist Of The Year. Legends Magazine calls him 'One of the top songwriters'. With Tens of Thousands of listeners accross the country, Mike's goal is simpily to share his music with others.
