Milquetoast is an all original melodic rock group with progressive tendencies. Their compositions feature vibrant female vocals, dynamic guitars, & a powerful rhythm section. They continue to create a loyal following in & around SoCo (Southern Colorado) through their live shows. The name Milquetoast was taken from the Helmet song, but also to parody how people generally see female fronted bands as weaker than those fronted by men. As one fan said 'I can't believe how heavy you guys are!' Strong relationships between band members gives the band staying power. Three of the members have been playing together for nearly ten years, and the band itself has been together for two years. Milquetoast took their time making this album, because albums that they had been involved with in the past had been rushed. It was mastered at Alien Beans Studios in Katy, TX by Ty Tabor of Kings X and his incredible staff. Original artwork was provided by emerging New York artist Michael Miille, and the photo was taken by Steve Zettlemoyer, a great semi-professional photographer in Colorado Springs. The music on the CD is heavy yet melodic, having progressive tendencies as well as rock sensibilities. Influences of the band vary from classic Motown, to grunge, and rock of all varieties.
