Mirrorview originally started out under the name 'Chairmen Of The Bored' in summer 2002, but in March 2007 they decided to change their name to Mirrorview. Drawing influences from a vast range of rock, pop and punk, Mirrorview have constructed a distinctive sound - with their focus on unforgettable melodies and an effective less-is-more approach to the music. Mirrorview pride themselves in being one of few unsigned UK to bands to book and headline their own tours. Since 2005 the band have played and headlined in nearly every area of the UK. In the past year the band have also supported bands such as Wheatus, Fenix TX, Zebrahead, Enter Shikari, Brigade, The Blackout, Sikth and Orson to name a few. In June of 2007 the band booked into the studio for 2 weeks to record their debut album after having sold 1000s of CD's recorded in Bens bedroom at gigs. They recorded their album in Reading at Outhouse Studios, Reading UK using producer John Mitchell (Funeral For a Friend, Enter Shikari) in 2 weeks. The album is now on sale. In Sept/Oct 2007 the band completed their biggest headline tour to date - 48 days, and also their most successful. This in a large part due to their expanding Myspace site (now around 30,000 'friends'). Mirrorview are at the moment one of the biggest unsigned bands in the UK.
