Sunlight in Bottles
In June 2004, Aaron Hart and Cory Anderson (The Pitch) recorded a 4-song demo in a dusty basement: the humble beginnings of The Morning Call. After picking up Reggie Weece on electric guitar and Joe Ringle on bass, they played their first show in October under their new name. Later that year, they picked up guitarist Vince Pierri (fromLove, Handcrafted). After the casualties of transfers, engagements, and weddings, Aaron and Reggie continued the band. In the fall of 2005, The Morning Call was selected to appear on the Green Street Records compilation CD, Crescendo, released April 13th, 2006. Picking up Kevin Concordia, Josh Birky, and Jeremy Gardner, the band pressed on. The Morning Call released their first and only EP 'Sunlight in Bottles' March 10th, 2007 at the renowned Canopy Club in Champaign. They played their last show at Elbo Room in Chicago in June 2007. 'All initially part of the Campus Crusade for Christ Worship band, the members of The Morning Call just 'came together,' armed with an untitled four-song demo, to form the band in June 2004. Their sound is an eclectic mix of rock and pop with vocals that are hard to define although certainly reminiscent of Ben Folds.' -Daily Illini: The Weekly Buzz 'Green Street Records Unveils CRESCENDO'
