I grew up in the heart of Africa in the small country of Uganda. From the time I was a child I loved music. It was and continues to be a big part of my culture. When I was 13 years old I taught myself how to play the keyboard; shortly after that I started writing songs. Of course at the time many of the songs weren't very good, though they expressed my heart. Since that humble beginning I have grown as a songwriter and a musician. In 1996 I moved to Phoenix, Arizona. I attended Phoenix Christian High School and eventually Grand Canyon University, where I graduated with BA in worship. I have written many songs. Some of them have been sung at my church; with the release of this CD, I desire for these songs bless more people. I am a psalmist, so worship is my passion-my music reflects that. Stylistically I love to try new things. For example, I marry the sounds I grew up with in Africa with vastly different American sounds. This flows from a native creativity within me, but also from my conviction that heaven is a place of diversity. When we're worshiping before the Throne, we'll retain our uniqueness while forming one great tapestry of worship, like a symphony of varied instruments playing the same song. I want to capture that in my music. I want people to taste the beauty of worship by experiencing the dance of transcendence and eminence; mystery and revelation. I also write songs that are not overtly Christian but reflect my experiences on this journey of life. My first CD, Sacred Dance, is now available. It contains the song you've heard on my profile and more. Thanks for listening! All songs ©Moses2david all rights reserved.
