MK is: Bass: Eric Ferrari Drums: Olivier Francey Guitars: Laurent Clavel Vocals: Jose Fernandez *************** 11 tracks recorded and mixed by E. Ferrari & Johann Meyer at Declanche Studio. Mastering by Glenn Miller, Greenwood Studio (Gotthard, Golä, Disney) After more than a decade playing as much as possible, MotherKingdom returns with a surprising new album. The tone is more serious, the guitars are in your face, the rhythmic sharpened. This fourth album stands out by it's maturity and the quality the songs. "Home made", Silent Treatment inherits the American influence on the band members, never losing sight of their European roots. A band solemly addicted to performing. From opening for Deep Purple to the mythical Cavern Club of Liverpool, from Melkweg in Amsterdam to Tokyo, MK knows how to win over an audiance. Never easy, the don't give up. Maybe too melodic for the metalheads or too powerfull for the Pop fans, it is with sweat and tears that MK takes the place it desserves. A place that MK seems to have taken full on. 1997-2001 CALIFORNIA - LIVERPOOL What if MK was only a matter of luck... First in 1997 on a San Diego beach Party in California. No one knows each other but the same dreams and dedication. MK is born. Back in Switzerland, the two musicians (Olivier Francey/Eric Ferrari) created the fi rst version of MotherKingdom. "Paranowhere" (1999) and "MakeMyDemo" (2001) ables the band to discover the true meaning of stage performance... With another lucky circumstance the band will cross the Thame and play in the mythical Cavern Club of Liverpool for two consecutive nights. Belgium, Holland or France will see MK performing in their festivals, their clubs or in acoustic sets in their coffee Shops. The band will reach it's final maturity, combined with Laurent Clavel who returns from five years in Los Angeles after attending the Musicians Institute in Hollywood (GIT). Laurent will give the impulse to the band to record and release it's third opus, "Sleeping Subway". 2001-2005 NEW-YORK - PARIS «Sleeping Subway»: an album mastered by Howie Weinberg (Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, Metallica, RHCP) in his New York studios Masterdisk. A video shot in Paris with Guillaume Pin (Paris Cinémas, Lyzanxia, Phaze-1) aired on MCA and M6, and two consecutive tours: one French-Swiss (Paléo, Montreux Jazz, Balélec, Nantes, Marseilles, Angers, Toulon, Paris,...) and another European one with Orchesta Del Desierto (Kyuss, QOTSA, Hermano members). 2005-2007 BACK TO GENEVA - DEEP PURPLE After two years on the road, a track on the CD sample of Rock' Folk, a signature on Trepan Records, MK diversifi es. It is while taking part in the production of fi lms Huck & Chuck ("One Winter Tale", promo DVD O' Neill) and Geraldine Fasnacht ("Draw Me a Line") that the band reloaded. MK also got it's music on the DVD Los Angeles X-Games, and produced songs for advertising executives. May 2007: opening for Deep Purple at Geneva Arena in front of 11' 000 people. It is time for MK to go back in studio. 2007-2009 SILENT TREATMENT - JAPAN TOUR Fourth album entitled "Silent Treatment". Change of line-up, Jose Fernandez joins the formation: the sound wants to be more incisive with a melancholic touch. MK integrates video and samples in their stage show. With Nicolas Falquet, MotherKingdom shot a new video in 16mm for the single "Almost There" (2009). Finally, more than a biography, it is onstage that the delivers it's true talent. MK will be heading for a Japan Tour from March 17th - March 31st 2009.
