SPLOW Biography Splow, born in Kingston Jamaica to a family of nine children, came to live in the United States in 1987. Splow immediately staked his place in the music industry with his chart topper 'Players Confession' from his album 'Hard Work + Time + $ on the DBS Worldwide imprint. Players Confession hit the carts in Japan and held the number three spot for several weeks and remained on the top 15 charts for 5 MONTHS!!! The music video is still in rotation on BET's Caribbean Rhythms and various video shows in Canada as well. SPLOW recently finished 'Redemption...Reggae, Hip Hop Reunion' for indie label Masta Key Entertainment and the singles 'Rookie' and 'Lovin You' are exploding on the California club scene as well as Tokyo Japan. 'Lovin You' was recently remixed at the request of the Chicago Steppers Union for inclusion in their national competition mix and premiered at the 1st Fridays Chicago Step Set held each month at Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood California. More than 300 partiers rush the dance floor for the only Reggae flavored Steppers cut to be released in 2004, but not the last! Tokyo Japan's 'Joint One Radio Show', the only prime time Hip Hop show in Asia has let 'Rookie' out of the bag and is creating a Splow cult following. Joint One has over 37 million listeners for it's Hip Hop show and just celebrated their 1,000th show in March 2004. 1999 saw growth for Splow when he bought his own small recording studio and began writing and producing for himself and other artists. He has recorded with stellar talents such as Kurupt, Shock G of Digital Underground and shared the stage with A-list talent like Slick Rick, Suga Free, Old Dirty Bastard and Silkski of Wu Tang's Brooklyn Zu. Splow even performed with Dave Hollister of the group Black Street, just to show his diversity. 2003 netted Splow 'Artist of the Year' and 'Best Hip Hop Performance 'nominations at the 'South Bay Music Awards' held January 2004. Joining Splow at that award show was renowned rocker Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson as winner and presenter, respectively. With his individual achievements set for 2004, Splow will remain a constant in the top echelon of Reggae/Hip Hop by capitalizing on his positioning in Tokyo and California with live performances and collaborations with Ms. Bree, Rocafella's newest youth sensation, as well as film/television soundtracks for Miramax/Sony projects slated for this year. Film/Television music powerhouse Centerline Music and Entertainment has already recorded Splow for the upcoming film 'Loco' which begins production summer 2004. Splow's dream is to be an artist, songwriter, producer and CEO of his own recording label. This dream is dedicated to the memory of his mother Mertell Elliott who passed away January 2002. His philosophy is 'Music is love, so I will forever spread love through music'.
