Born in a Minneapolis winter, MY VALKYRIE delivers it's rock at times fast but always fascinating. Recorded in the summer of 2006, this self titled self released debut features music produced by MY VALKYRIE and engineered by Jim Weber (ex Willie Wisely). A recent review called MY VALKYRIE's music 'radio-friendly on the surface but just clever enough to rise above most of the stuff on the radio.' The music has also been described as 'ultra power pop' and has drawn comparisons to bands like Shudder To Think. On My Valkyrie's self-titled debut, the vocalist moves nimbly among the Cars-style pop-punk of 'Who Am I,' the leaden bass of 'Blitz,' and the high-hat-heavy metal of 'Come Back.' City Pages A-List. My Valkyrie sounds vaguely like Love and Rockets after a bar fight with Rush. St Paul Pioneer Press.
