Here I Am
Nat Grant began his musical career as an organist in his father's church and because of this, he holds the power and dynamics of music deep in his spirit. The groups called 'Onyx' and 'Nat Grant Experience 'were created by him; he also helped to create the Voices of East Harlem, co-writing many of their songs. The Group's dynamic lead singer was accompanied by Nat's soulful piano. For five consecutive weeks these two young talents successfully held first place in the world famous, Apollo Theatre's Amateur Hour. They won an on stage engagement with legendary soul greats, Rufus and Carla Thomas, Johnny Taylor, and the late Otis Redding. Later, Nat performed as keyboardist with the rhythm and blues great Wilson Pickett and his band, the Midnight Movers and together they toured Rio De Janeiro, Soweto, South Africa and Japan as well as many other venues here in the United States. Nat's vocal style was discovered in the church and further developed when he performed in the renowned Broadway super hit, 'Hair'. Nat sang in the chorus then rose to a leading role as the character 'HUD'. Today, Nat is preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a Worship Leader he is an anointed Minstrel to the body of Christ. He continues writing, arranging, composing and producing songs of modern day Zion. Listen to his songs as he expresses his Gospel roots. Feel the Gospel message, experience as he communicates the genuine commitment of his calling. It is his sincere hope that these songs lift, inspire and assist you to realize that it is the Love of Christ that constrains us 'Share Love,' and there is no other name in which men can be saved, except in the 'Great', name of Jesus Christ Our Lord.
