Nathan M. Hiltner began playing the guitar at the age of 6, using a half sized $35 classical guitar. He is still seen playing that guitar at times, in and amongst his many musical endeavors. These endeavors include solo performances, filling in with rock outfits, performing with a contemporary bluegrass group, and recording session work. He has also performed on and/or produced albums ranging from bluegrass to fusion funk to classical. His original music gives a nod to several key influences; the finger-style and acoustic guitar work of Phil Keaggy, the instrumental rock sound of Joe Satriani, & the melodic acoustic instrumentals of Nickel Creek, to name a few. His voice has been described as breathy and unique, instantly recognizable. Fans of Nathan's music have described it as soulful and passionate. Musicians have pointed out his good tones, spot on phrasing, and beautiful vibrato. His music appeals to a wide range of ages; it is common to see young children, teens, young adults, and middle aged attendees at one of his solo performances. Nathan's music is sure to interest those young and old, of all different tastes. You can contact Nathan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
