Natural Chaos was formed in Boston in late 2003 by veteran microphone thrashers J-Maze and Driftski. The two had been acquainted for years in the underground scene before forming this old skool-inspired electro, hop-hop crew. DJ Joe Mamma, who spun wax and was a breaker with Driftski's former group Cooler Than Smack, brought his mixing talent to the turntables to round out NC. The group recorded their debut LP 'Supa-Naturalz' during 2004 and released it on Boston's Linoleum Records in March 2005. The first single 'Renegade Style' got some airplay on satellite radio while NC and their breakdancing team, State of the Art, played shows around the Boston area, sharing the stage with such national acts as Approach, Granola Funk Express and Elemental Zazen. Packed with unflinchingly honest, introspective tales of drugs, despair and frustration, 'Supanaturalz' is an indie-minded, underground classic.
