As a Portuguese-born Australian artist, Nelson's music fits somewhat obliquely within the genres of euro pop/rock, electro and dance. His lyrics, although often cryptic and layered, invites the listener to a common ground. 'You Me Us We' was recently ranked in the Top 20 for Pop Up-tempo/Dance category of the 11th Annual 'Unisong' International Song Contest, has been accepted to the Uncharted Waters unsigned artist compilation album, and won EQ Song of the Year 2007. His song 'You Want Me Don't You?' also achieved a #5 position in Australia's JJJ Unearthed Unsigned charts. Nelson's commitment to his work shows through his total independence. He is so determined to share his music with as many people as possible that he has, thus far, provided his own financial resources and management of all the aspects of the production that shines into in his excellent showcase of the work of a truly independent musician. Aside from writing and singing his own music, he also acts and has an interest in film making. Reviews: 'Every tune this guy makes is magical. It's been a pleasure to see him grow so much this last year as an artist and I really have a ton of faith in his music. If I a million dollars to give away, I'd give it to Nelson. His song 'You Me Us We' is the biggest international hit that the world hasn't heard yet'. - Raj Rudolph Editor (Electroqueer Magazine 2007) 'It's the perfect blend of sparkly pop that will make you feel like the world isn't so bad after all.' - Hotstufffiles 'Loving this, fresh beats, original and great lyrics and out of this world in all!' - Slicethepie Review.
