Leave the Room
Nina was raised in the village of Overton, Hampshire. Given a guitar for her eighth birthday, she soon developed a great bond with her six string, always playing, but shying away from performing publicly. This probably explains why her music has been a long time coming, but if there is such a thing as perfect timing or facing the music and quite literally, then this is it, she has found her moment. There is something uniquely different about this artist that must be heard. Her ability to write independently proves her strength as a song writer because here is someone who is not a crowd follower, but a person who is establishing her own musical identity. Both artist and song can hold their own and it is even more apparent when faced with the true test of an act to deliver live, a good voice with honest melodies fused together with a rolling acoustic guitar epitomises what Nina is all about. It is all this and more that is making headway for this talented, new U.K artist that ensures her potential and longevity within the global music scene. Possessing a unique voice, and considerable song-writing skills, Nina McCann is undoubtedly an artist to keep an eye on in in the acoustic arena. Her songs have infectious melodies, and stay with you long after the CD has finished. Phil Jackson - BBC Radio Nina's track 'the one I know' was featured on BBC Radio's John Peel day to celebrate a man who put his life into bringing new music to people's attention. She has been invited to play at 'British Muisc Week' in London in November 2005. Her album was short listed from 2000 other bands and artists, she made the final 10, she has real a quaility that is starting to show.
