Philip DiCostanzo and Matthew DeTroy lived in the same town, attended the same schools, had many mutual friends, had similar musical influences yet never met until 2002. They refer to those early years as their 40 years in the desert. In the early years, Matthew studied music at Berkley School Of Music in Boston, Ma. and worked as a musician and songwriter in PA, while Philip dabbled with Shakespeare, Vidal Sassoon haircutting techniques, and making pop records like National Nervous Breakdown by Double O. Within the first 6 months of playing together they began to write their own music. The kind of Original Music that sounds intensely personal upon first listening, but not in the way you would think. Personal in the sense that the songs sound as if they read YOUR diary. Their first CD is called TWO VERSIONS. Their musical group is called OF (defying the age of google, these guys, for better or worse, decided to create an unsearchable band name. Their sound is inspired and worthy of a listen. Stream it, download it, or order the CD while you can. About the CD cover of TWO VERSIONS: It is a composite astral birth chart of Songwriters; Philip DiCostanzo and Matthew DeTroy.
