Product Notes

Oholics are a six-piece psychedelic electrorock band from Gothenburg,Sweden. They formed in 2005, when they discussed the lack of real rock acts in Sweden. Since then the mission has been to create mind-blowing, beer-fueled rock tunes. The line-up include guitar, bass, drums, sitar, lots of percussion and various synthezisers. Major influences include Primal Scream, Oasis, Syd Barrett, Happy Mondays, the psychedelic 60's and the punk scene. The songs are usually jammed together by the band, and each member is equally important for the sound, feel and structure. Chrille writes all the lyrics. Oholics have recorded several times at Svenska Grammofonstudion, and are produced by Ebbot Lundberg from The Soundtrack Of Our Lives. He has been an important creative collaborator with Oholics since he first heard them in 2006, and the relationship is growing strong. Oholics have played all over Sweden and Norway, a minitour in London (see review) and also toured Canada (see review 1 and review 2). They are known for their wild live shows, where they are always bound to lose it. In 2008 they signed with Swedish label The Unit and are now beeing booked by The Agency Group.
