40 minutes and a pair of sweaty socks later, Old Wives' Tale leaves the stage and your shoes never knew what hit them! After a few years of blending Miami's nightlife attitude with the new invasion of songs from The Faint, The Rapture, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Death from Above 1979, LCD Soundsytem, to name a few, in 2006 Old Wives' Tale is formed. Infected by an angst that resonated in every indie club in The Design District in Miami, brothers Jaime and Felipe Valencia joined their contrasting, but yet clicking, music personalities to create a new sound composed of distorted bass lines, disco beats, ripping guitars, and lyrics that ranged from alter-egos to heart-breaking love affairs. Every performance is a bi-directional spill of sweat, emotions, and attitude which was essential to capture in the studio. Younger Limbs - EP is a clear example of a variety of levels of jump-dancing, booty-fun, with both rock and electro worlds mixed together so that you may catch yourself dancing to the old...Old Wives' Tale!
