Mess'd Up EP
This latest EP by Onebigmess is the result of the many changes that the band went through since the last full-length CD. Since that CD, the band enjoyed some minor successes, and a few downfalls. It took almost a year and a half to produce this 4-song EP, and the band couldn't be happier. Onebigmess really spent the time wisely, not compromising the sounds they were going for, and not resting until they all were truly satisfied with the results. They were looking for a big studio sound, and they achieved it through patience and perserverance. During these last few months, before the CD Release Party, the band is now achieving the local success it knew it could. They played a few key shows last year, the most important being the opening slot right before THE MISFITS. They also played a show opening for DAYS OF THE NEW, and have some even bigger shows on the horizon. This EP is the result of the band sticking together, of working things out, and of believing in the music and themselves. They have been through a lot in such a short amount of time, but are still able to carry on. This album would not have been possible without the sacrifices each memeber (old and new alike) had to make and would not have the emotional impact that it has without it. There is a primal beauty to this EP that few bands have ever achieved in their careers, an impending sense of loss and doom that each listener (in their own way) will feel.
